SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN
We are looking for a social media intern to join our team and help level up Napa Bookmine Literary Foundation’s social media presence! Help us develop our brand voice and spread the word about our programs including FREE books for kids, teachers, and families, authors events, educator resources, community partnerships, and more. This internship is a great opportunity to work within one of Napa’s fastest-growing non-profit organizations. This internship is an unpaid position and we anticipate it taking up ~5 hours a week.
DUTIES
Create, schedule, and publish content for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn including original graphics, copy, REELS, etc.
Work alongside the Executive Director to create and manage monthly content calendar and social media strategies
Create original graphics for use on social media channels and develop graphic templates on the NBLF Canva account.
Engage with our community: monitor and engage with our followers including responding to comments, questions and DMs across platforms.
Opportunity to write blog posts for the Napa Bookmine Literary Foundation blog.
SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A thorough understanding of social media platforms and trends, with a focus on Instagram and Facebook (understanding of TikTok a plus).
Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn.
Experience in Canva or Photoshop, basic graphic design skills a plus.
Familiarity with Google Suite.
Video editing skills a plus.

Napa Bookmine Literary Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 organization dedicated to promoting literacy in Napa County. We believe in equal access to books for all! Our programs provide free books to kids, families, and teachers, build community, and foster a passion for learning through literacy-based events. In 2021 we aim to donate 2,000 books to kids and teachers, host a FREE community-wide book fair, host 5 school author visits and monthly storytimes, and more. Learn more about our mission here.
