Host a Book Drive
Join our mission to provide books to as many kids and families in Napa County as possible by hosting a Book Drive! Gather books from neighbors, friends, classmates, and coworkers and donate them to us to redistribute in the community.
WHY HOST A BOOK DRIVE?
We need books!
It’s easy and free
It’s a great way to give back to the community
HOW TO ORGANIZE YOUR BOOK DRIVE:
Choose your book drive dates. When will you host your book drive?
Set a goal. How many books do you want to collect?
Fill out our book drive form. Let us know what your plans are for your book drive so we can best support you.
Start collecting! Once you’ve confirmed your book drive with us it’s time to start collecting books! We collect like-new and gently used books for ages 0-18. We accept foreign language, dual language, and nonfiction books among others. Please no religious, textbooks, activity books, encyclopedias, or books that are broken or are missing pages.
Organize your books. Sort books into boxes that are easy to carry. We suggest organizing by general age level, type, or category. Please refrain from giving us any books you wouldn’t want for your own home library.
Deliver your books. Email info@napabookmineliteraryfoundation.org to coordinate a time to drop off your donations OR have one of our volunteers pick up your books.
Share your book drive on social media! We love to see your book drives in action. Follow and tag us on Instagram @nblitfoundation and Facebook (@nblitfoundation) to share photos of your book drive.
